INTERNATIONAL MAIL AND PARCEL SERVICES
Are there any restrictions to international mail and parcel services?
Europe
Information on possible restrictions on shipping international letter mail, Warenpost items, Päckchen and parcels.
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can now be sent to France and Monaco again.
Poste Italiane, the Italian postal service, has informed us that the following reduced maximum dimensions and maximum weights shall apply to
all DHL Paket International shipments with immediate effect:

Dimensions: longest side no greater than 120 cm; sum of length + width + height should not exceed 150 cm -
Max. weight: 25 kg
North, South and Central America & The Caribbean

For private customers: The only option available for sending parcels to Brazil will be via the Premium service until further notice -
For business customers/contract customers: DHL Paket International items can still be sent until further notice. Please note that an international crisis surcharge of EUR 3.10 per kilogram (or part thereof) will be applied to each parcel.
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can generally be sent to Canada.
Until further notice, parcels will be transported to Canada by ocean freight only due to very limited transport capacities. Customers should not specify "Premium" parcel service and expect significantly longer transit times.
Until further notice, merchandise shipments to Colombia (DHL Paket International, Päckchen International and Warenpost International) can no longer be accepted due to problems with transport, customs clearance and/or delivery.
This acceptance freeze does not affect letter mail items weighing up to 500 g and with a maximum thickness of 2 cm (i.e., documents sent as individual letter mail, kilo-rate mail, etc.).
Until further notice, merchandise shipments to Costa Rica (DHL Paket International, Päckchen International and Warenpost International) can no longer be accepted due to problems with transport, customs clearance and/or delivery.
This acceptance freeze does not affect letter mail items weighing up to 500 g and with a maximum thickness of 2 cm (i.e., documents sent as individual letter mail, kilo-rate mail, etc.).
At this time, transport capacities to the USA are substantially reduced. As such, special measures are required to maintain the shipping of letters and parcels.

It is still possible to send letter mail items weighing up to 500 g and with a maximum thickness of 2 cm (documents) to the USA. -
Warenpost and Päckchen products are no longer available for shipment to the USA until further notice. -
Private customers: Until further notice, the only option available for sending parcels to the USA will be via the Premium service. -
Business customers/contract customers: DHL Paket International items can still be sent until further notice. Please note that a crisis surcharge of EUR 2.20 per kilogram (or part thereof) will be applied to each parcel. -
European business customers: Deutsche Post Packet products can still be sent until further notice. Please note that due to the current international crisis, the prices for all Packet products have been increased. Please contact your Account Manager in your European country office for further information.
Asia
Information on possible restrictions on shipping international letter mail, Warenpost items, Päckchen and parcels.
Until further notice, merchandise shipments to Iran (DHL Paket International, Päckchen International and Warenpost International) can no longer be accepted due to problems with transport, customs clearance and/or delivery.
This acceptance freeze does not affect letter mail items weighing up to 500 g and with a maximum thickness of 2 cm (i.e., documents sent as individual letter mail, kilo-rate mail, etc.).
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can now be sent to Japan again.
For business customers/contract customers: DHL Paket International items can still be sent until further notice. Please note that an
international crisis surcharge of
EUR 1.45 per kilogram (or part thereof) will be applied to each
parcel.
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can now be sent to South Korea again.
For business customers/contract customers: DHL Paket International items can still be sent until further notice. Please note that an
international crisis surcharge of EUR 2.50 per kilogram (or part thereof) will be applied to each
parcel.
Until further notice, merchandise shipments to the Philippines (DHL Paket International, Päckchen International and Warenpost International) can no longer be accepted due to problems with transport, customs clearance and/or delivery.
This acceptance freeze does not affect letter mail items weighing up to 500 g and with a maximum thickness of 2 cm (i.e., documents sent as individual letter mail, kilo-rate mail, etc.).
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can now be sent to Singapore again.
For business customers/contract customers: DHL Paket International items can still be sent until further notice.
Please note that an international crisis surcharge of EUR 2.10 per kilogram (or part thereof) will be applied to each parcel.
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can now be sent to Taiwan again.

Private customers: Until further notice, the only option available for sending parcels to Taiwan will be via the Premium service. -
Business customers/contract customers: DHL Paket International items can still be sent until further notice. Please note that an international crisis surcharge of EUR 2.80 per kilogram (or part thereof) will be applied to each parcel.
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can now be sent to Thailand again.

For private customers: The only option available for sending parcels to Thailand will be via the Premium service until further notice -
For business customers/contract customers: DHL Paket International items can still be sent until further notice. Please note that an international crisis surcharge of EUR 2.40 per kilogram (or part thereof) will be applied to each parcel
Australia & Oceania
At this time, transport capacities to Australia are substantially reduced. As such, special measures are required to maintain the shipping of letters and parcels.

Letter mail items weighing up to 500 g and with a maximum thickness of 2 cm (i.e., documents sent as individual letter mail, kilo-rate mail, etc.) can still be sent. -
Warenpost and Päckchen products are no longer available for shipment to Australia until further notice -
Private customers: Until further notice, the only option available for sending parcels to Australia will be via the Premium service. -
Business customers/contract customers: DHL Paket International items can still be sent until further notice. Please note that an international crisis surcharge of EUR 3.60 per kilogram (or part thereof) will be applied to each parcel.
The restrictions also apply to New Zealand's outer territories.
Africa
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can now be sent to Algeria again.
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can now be sent to Botswana again.
Until further notice, merchandise shipments to Burkina Faso (DHL Paket International, Päckchen International and Warenpost International) can no longer be accepted due to problems with transport, customs clearance and/or delivery.
This acceptance freeze does not affect letter mail items weighing up to 500 g and with a maximum thickness of 2 cm (i.e., documents sent as individual letter mail, kilo-rate mail, etc.).
Until further notice, merchandise shipments to Burundi (DHL Paket International, Päckchen International and Warenpost International) can no longer be accepted due to problems with transport, customs clearance and/or delivery.
This acceptance freeze does not affect letter mail items weighing up to 500 g and with a maximum thickness of 2 cm (i.e., documents sent as individual letter mail, kilo-rate mail, etc.).
Until further notice, merchandise shipments to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DHL Paket International, Päckchen International and Warenpost International) can no longer be accepted due to problems with transport, customs clearance and/or delivery.
This acceptance freeze does not affect letter mail items weighing up to 500 g and with a maximum thickness of 2 cm (i.e., documents sent as individual letter mail, kilo-rate mail, etc.).
Until further notice, merchandise shipments to the Congo (DHL Paket International, Päckchen International and Warenpost International) can no longer be accepted due to problems with transport, customs clearance and/or delivery.
This acceptance freeze does not affect letter mail items weighing up to 500 g and with a maximum thickness of 2 cm (i.e., documents sent as individual letter mail, kilo-rate mail, etc.).
Until further notice, merchandise shipments to Djibouti (DHL Paket International, Päckchen International and Warenpost International) can no longer be accepted due to problems with transport, customs clearance and/or delivery.
This acceptance freeze does not affect letter mail items weighing up to 500 g and with a maximum thickness of 2 cm (i.e., documents sent as individual letter mail, kilo-rate mail, etc.).
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can now be sent to Eswatini again.
Until further notice, parcel shipments to Ghana (DHL Paket International) can no longer be accepted due to problems with transport, customs clearance and/or delivery.
Warenpost items and Päckchen products can now be sent again. Letter mail items (i.e., documents sent as individual letter mail, kilo-rate mail, etc.) are also no longer affected by this acceptance freeze.
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can now be sent to Côte d'Ivoire / Ivory Coast again.
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can now be sent to Lesotho again.
Until further notice, merchandise shipments to Malawi (DHL Paket International, Päckchen International and Warenpost International) can no longer be accepted due to problems with transport, customs clearance and/or delivery.
This acceptance freeze does not affect letter mail items weighing up to 500 g and with a maximum thickness of 2 cm (i.e., documents sent as individual letter mail, kilo-rate mail, etc.).
Until further notice, merchandise shipments to Mali (DHL Paket International, Päckchen International and Warenpost International) can no longer be accepted due to problems with transport, customs clearance and/or delivery.
This acceptance freeze does not affect letter mail items weighing up to 500 g and with a maximum thickness of 2 cm (i.e., documents sent as individual letter mail, kilo-rate mail, etc.).
Until further notice, parcel shipments to Mauritius (DHL Paket International) can no longer be accepted due to problems with transport, customs clearance and/or delivery.
Letter mail items (documents sent as individual letter mail, mail at the kilo rate etc.) as well as Warenpost and Päckchen shipments can now be sent again.
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can in principle be sent to Morocco.
Until further notice, merchandise shipments will be transported to Morocco by ocean freight only due to very limited transport capacities. We do not recommend sending small packages and parcels with the "Premium" service, and caution that shipments will be subject to considerable delays.
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can now be sent to Nigeria again.
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can now be sent to South Africa again.
Until further notice, parcel shipments to Uganda (DHL Paket International) can no longer be accepted due to problems with transport, customs clearance and/or delivery.
Warenpost items and Päckchen products can now be sent again. Letter mail items (i.e., documents sent as individual letter mail, kilo-rate mail, etc.) are also no longer affected by this acceptance freeze.
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can in principle be sent to Western Sahara.
Until further notice, merchandise shipments will be transported to Western Sahara by ocean freight only due to very limited transport capacities. We do not recommend sending small packages and parcels with the "Premium" service, and caution that shipments will be subject to considerable delays.
Items (i.e., letters, small packages, Warenpost items and parcels) can now be sent to Zimbabwe again.
